Sony FX5: X-OCN opens in Resolve and Premiere Beta

The Sony FX5 post workflow is coming together: DaVinci Resolve 21.0.4 imports X-OCN, and Adobe is testing support in Community Beta for Premiere Pro, After Effects and Media Encoder.

The FX5 is now a camera ready for real users. The first people who buy it should be able to work with it from day one and take the full workflow from capture to the cinema screen, through the applications they already use.

Compatibility should be complete because X-OCN, in all its variants, is a codec designed by Sony to move across consumer and professional workflows. It belongs to the same ecosystem used in Sony camera productions made for IMAX in its LT version.
